At the invitation of the U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Patricia Butenis, our co-founder, Parveen Daissenaike, organised a summer exhibition of Cartwheel participants’ artwork at the American Center in Colombo.

The works were on display from June until last week and were a cheerful addition to the atmosphere at the embassy. Children from Sip Sevana and representatives from The Foundation of Goodness, The Neelan Thiruchelvam Trust, and the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations & Strategic Studies were all in attendance this past June at the …

The graphic design workshops attracted a number of young artists and even a few of their parents last weekend at CMA. We are thrilled to announce an exhibition of artworks created by children living in post-war Sri Lanka at the Children’s Museum of the Arts here in NYC from June 7th until July 15th! The exhibition will feature 50+ pieces, including collages, prints, and photographs by Sri Lankan youth. Admission on opening night is free, but RSVP to info@cartwheelinitiative.org is requested.
