Exhibition at the U.S. Embassy, American Center Colombo!

At the invitation of the U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Patricia Butenis, our co-founder, Parveen Daissenaike, organised a summer exhibition of Cartwheel participants’ artwork at the American Center in Colombo.

The works were on display from June until last week and were a cheerful addition to the atmosphere at the embassy. Our opening at the Children’s Museum of the Arts here in Manhattan was a wonderful success! We are very appreciative of all of the supporters who came out to celebrate the artwork created by our students this past December in Sri Lanka.

Reminder: Cartwheel Exhibition at CMA Tomorrow Night! Join Us!

We are thrilled to announce an exhibition of artworks created by children living in post-war Sri Lanka at the Children’s Museum of the Arts here in NYC from June 7th until July 15th! The exhibition will feature 50+ pieces, including collages, prints, and photographs by Sri Lankan youth. Admission on opening night is free, but RSVP to info@cartwheelinitiative.org is requested.
