At the invitation of the U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Patricia Butenis, our co-founder, Parveen Daissenaike, organised a summer exhibition of Cartwheel participants’ artwork at the American Center in Colombo.
The works were on display from June until last week and were a cheerful addition to the atmosphere at the embassy. Children from Sip Sevana and representatives from The Foundation of Goodness, The Neelan Thiruchelvam Trust, and the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations & Strategic Studies were all in attendance this past June at the opening.
Our special thanks to Ms. Butenis for her on-going support and recognition of The Cartwheel Initiative, its participants, and the artwork that has been produced as a result of our project.
