In case you missed it, we had our final event on November 2nd at the Lower East Side lounge White Rabbit. It was a rockin’ evening of music, friends, family and libations. The latter of which could be had for the small price of an old camera sitting in the drawer. Yes, we were able to give out quite a few beverages for the generous donation of cameras by our supporters. These are some of the cameras we are going to put in the hands of children in Sri Lanka.
Leading off the evening was a jazz improvisation performance by Blackbirds & Bullets led by our very own Billy Fox. Photographs were on display and for sale by our participating artists lending a gallery feel to the bar. And to cap it off Nalinda from the group Naadro performed using traditional Sri Lankan percussion instruments to a rapt audience.
