It was a stroke of serendipity that Ashok Sinha and I met nearly two years ago at an Asian American Arts Alliance meeting.  Although Ashok is a photographer and I’m a musician, we sensed common points of interest as artists, and we now routinely share advice and resources, and we’re developing a collaborative performance piece that will premiere in 2012.   As our friendship has grown, I’ve gained immense respect for Ashok’s talent and vision, so it was truly an honor when he invited me to participate in such a worthy project …
